Banking and Timing
The single largest free multiplier in this game is doing the same thing you were going to do anyway, two days later. Most events score you for actions, not for what you own. An action taken inside a scoring window can pay four or five times; the identical action taken on a quiet Tuesday pays once.
This page is the method. What to bank right now is the live answer.
The short version¶
- Speed-ups are the currency of this game. Bank them relentlessly.
- Bank anything with a low carrying cost — shards, gear materials, beast materials, gems, eggs.
- Never bank economy upgrades or unlocking research. Delay there costs you compounding.
- Check the duel schedule tab on Monday and plan the week backwards from it.
- Hold beast eggs and hatch speed-ups for Thursday–Friday, always.
- Dump everything on the matching theme day, not the day you happened to log in.
- Event currencies never carry over. Empty them before the event closes.
Why banking works: one action, several scoreboards¶
Use ten hours of speed-ups on a Wednesday and you get one thing: your buildings finish sooner.
Use the same ten hours during the duel's speed-up theme and you get:
- your buildings finish sooner
- Ultimate Alliance Duel personal points → milestone chests
- duel alliance points → helps win the day → daily battle rewards → weekly league rewards
- Fortune Mobilization points, which pay 5 points per minute accelerated → daily Champ Rewards and ranking
- Core Mining Glory Miner points, if a season is running
That is five payouts for one expenditure, and the only difference is which day you tapped the button. Nothing else in the game offers that return for that little effort.
The two-question test¶
Before you spend anything, ask:
1. Does it bank? Can it sit in your inventory without decaying? If it expires at reset or with an event, banking is not an option — spend it.
2. What does holding it cost? This is the question people forget. Some things are free to hold. Others quietly cost you every hour you wait.
Bank aggressively where holding is free. Spend immediately where holding is expensive — even if that means missing the bonus points.
What to bank, ranked by carrying cost¶
| Category | Banks? | Cost of holding | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed-ups | Yes | None — you were not using them all anyway | Bank hard |
| Gems | Yes | None | Bank hard — the Lucky Wheel is the only free legendary route |
| Beast eggs + hatch speed-ups | Yes | None | Bank hard — Thursday–Friday rate-up is a large multiplier |
| Hero shards, universal shards | Yes | Negligible — a star-up three days later is still a star-up | Bank |
| Gear shards, energy cores, blueprints | Yes | Negligible | Bank |
| Beast EXP and Breakthrough items | Yes | Negligible | Bank |
| Tomatoes, skill books | Yes | Negligible | Bank |
| Stamina Cans | Yes | None | Bank for the duel's crystal giant day |
| Troop training batches | Partly | Real — fewer troops for the wait | Bank 1–2 days, not a week |
| Combat / PvP research | Partly | Moderate — you lose the buff while you wait | Bank only if the window is close |
| Building upgrades (PvP buildings) | Partly | Moderate | Bank only if the window is close |
| Economy building upgrades | No | High — production compounds | Spend now. Never bank these. |
| Unlocking research | No | High — gates everything behind it | Spend now |
The bottom two rows are the ones people get wrong. Delaying an economy upgrade for three days to catch a theme day costs you three days of compounding production, to gain points once. That trade is bad and it stays bad.
What never banks — use or lose¶
These expire at reset or with the event. Holding them is pure loss:
- Daily stamina refills — the Bar refreshes at 00:00 and 12:00, each lasting 12 hours
- Abyss Adventure slots and detection missions
- Daily task completions
- The free daily Lucky Wheel spin
- Fire Fiend's 5 attacks — daily, and 5 is the total, not per spawn
- Crystal Rush milestone progress — resets 00:00 UTC
- Alliance help
- Satisfaction Coins above the 2,000,000 cap — overflow is discarded
- Every event currency: blasters, sandwiches, lucky tickets, pickaxes, carnival tickets
The one exception worth exploiting
Explosive Arrows from Quanti Action do not expire when the event ends.
So invert the usual play: spend your event-window stamina farming arrows, and rally the summoned goblins afterwards at leisure. Do complete the first 10 rallies during the event, because that 10-shard completion bonus is tied to the window. See Quanti Action.
What each event wants you holding¶
| Event | Bank in advance | Lead time |
|---|---|---|
| Ultimate Alliance Duel | Speed-ups, troop batches, research, building completions, gear materials, hero shards | 2–3 days |
| Regal Medal | Everything that raises power — gear, shards, troops, research | 5 days |
| Lucky Wheel | Gems, and only gems | 2 weeks |
| Hunting Festival | Speed-ups — they convert directly into sandwiches | 1 week |
| Beast Hatch Rate UP | Beast eggs, hatch speed-ups | 3 days |
| Core Mining (Glory Miner) | Speed-ups, gear materials | 2–3 days |
| Fortune Mobilization | Speed-ups above all — 5 points per minute | daily |
| Guardian Altar / Kills Day | Stamina, healed troops | 2 days |
| Carnival Night | Gems for pass levels | 2 days |
| Dragon's Treasure | Nothing — this one is decided by raw power | — |
| Lucky Cards | Nothing — tickets come from tasks during the event | — |
The server 19 week¶
Anchored on the duel running Monday to Saturday. Verify the theme order in game on Monday, because only two days are documented publicly.
Monday — Duel opens. Open the schedule tab and read the whole week. This is the highest-value five minutes of your week. Last chance to clear Temple Challenges before the weekly reset.
Tuesday — Temple weekly progress resets at 00:00 UTC. Faction temples open.
Wednesday — Faction temples continue. Entombed Solpolis registration, if running.
Thursday — Beast Hatch Rate UP begins. Hatch everything you have banked. This is also typically the duel's crystal giant day, which is the heaviest stamina day of the week — one player reported burning 6,000 stamina across roughly three hours. Bank Stamina Cans for it.
Friday — Beast rate-up continues. Temple of Light opens. Carnival Night starts on its fortnightly cycle.
Saturday — Kills Day. Guardian Altar at 00:00, 08:00 and 16:00 UTC. Everyone gets a free 24-hour shield, so the risk is far lower than people assume. This is the day to be online.
Sunday — Duel settles. Quiet day; good for spending anything you are not holding.
Fill this in yourself
The duel's full theme rotation is not documented in either of our sources — only day 4 (crystal giants) and day 6 (kills). Watch one full week on server 19, write the order down, and this page becomes considerably more useful.
The 48-hour drill¶
When the live board says something opens in two days:
-
Stop starting short builds and trainings. Let the queues drain so you can fire a burst when the window opens.
-
Stop spending speed-ups entirely. They are the most theme-flexible thing you own.
-
Park your upgrade-ready items — gear at a promotion threshold, heroes one star-up away, beasts at a level cap. Get them to the threshold, then stop.
-
Keep economy upgrades running. Never stall these.
- When the window opens, dump in theme order, highest point value first — the event screen shows what each task pays.
The point of step 3 is that the expensive part of a star-up is collecting the shards. Arriving at the threshold costs you nothing extra; pressing the button at the right hour is free points.
What banking costs you¶
An honest accounting, because the advice is not free:
You will be weaker mid-week than you could be. Troops untrained, gear unpromoted. On a PvP server during an active war, that is a genuine risk, and winning a fight you would otherwise lose is worth more than any theme day.
You will forget things. A banked star-up you never spend is worse than one spent on a Tuesday. Use the live board as a checklist, not a vague intention.
It makes the game more administrative. If tracking windows stops being fun, bank only speed-ups, gems and beast eggs. Those three are most of the value and they require almost no discipline.
When a war starts, stop banking. Spend everything immediately. Points are worth less than not losing your troops.
Common mistakes¶
Banking economy upgrades. The compounding loss outruns the points.
Spending gems on anything but the Lucky Wheel. A 1,200-gem instant-finish is two and a half spins at a legendary hero.
Hatching beasts on a Tuesday. Same eggs, materially worse odds than Thursday.
Holding event currency "to be safe". It dies with the event. Every time.
Opening the duel and deciding what to do. By then the week is mostly spent. The decision is made Monday.
Banking with no end date. If you do not know when the window opens, you are not banking — you are hoarding. Check the live board.
